 "Support Jabbar to continue his Self Advocacy and Skill Training"

Jabbar Miah is a 24 - year- old adult with Down syndrome. He is a permanent resident of Gazaria Upazilla, Munshigonj District in Bangladesh.  Jabbar has four brothers and one sister in his family. His father is a farmer in the locality with poor income/means to support the family. Jabbar’s sister study in a local Madrasha. Their family life is very hard and in miserable condition due to extreme poverty. 

Recently Jabbar has attended a Self advocacy course in the resource center of Down Syndrome Society of Bangladesh for six months with gradual progress and development. Already he has learnt many things in the training like Human rights, Currency identification, how to shop from a grocery, etc to develop him as an independent human being in the community. Jabbar has the ambition and desire to be self reliant to support his family to lead a better life in future. 

 He is a young boy with full of dreams and ambitions to contribute for the society by doing his own small enterprise after finishing his education.

Jabbar wants to complete his Self Advocacy and Skill Training for additional two years in the DSSB Resource Center to develop his skills for self/wage employment. For this, he requires assistance and financial support to continue his journey. Any individual or organization with goodwill and commitment towards the society is kindly requested to support Jabbar to fulfill his dream to be grown up as a normal human being in the community.
